蘭卡斯特大學(Lancaster University)成立於1964年，是一所坐落在英格蘭蘭卡斯特市郊的學院制大學。蘭卡斯特大學(Lancaster University)享有著良好的學術聲譽，畢業生亦擁有出眾的就業前景和升學前途。該校擁有英國最優秀的環境科學系以及國際知名的蘭卡斯特大學商業管理學院(LUMS)。另外，該校的物理系在低溫物理方面和社會學系方面的教學和研究也是國際領先。

2015年，蘭卡斯特大學(Lancaster University)更被衛報評為全英國排名第十位的高等學府，僅次於著名的倫敦帝國學院(Imperial College London)和埃克賽特大學(University of Exeter)。蘭卡斯特大學(Lancaster University)還與杜倫大學(Durham University)、里茲大學(University of Leeds)、利物浦大學(University of Liverpool)、曼徹斯特大學(University of Manchester)、新堡大學(Newcastle University)、雪菲爾德大學(University of Sheffield)和約克大學(University of York)一同成立N8研究聯盟。

​蘭卡斯特大學採用非獨立書院體系，由四個學院和9個非獨立書院組成，學院主要進行科研以及教學，而非獨立書院主要是安排校院內的大學生、碩士生、博士後研究人員和一些大學的工作人員等的生活，住宿和福利。

蘭卡斯特大學(Lancaster University)校園占地250英畝，風景宜人，到處綠樹成蔭，有很多頂極設施，像是裝備完整的運動中心，健身中心內有游泳池、體育館、手球場、舉重健身房、舞蹈設備、三溫暖、日光浴室、及攀岩牆，戶外活動設備有：足球、英式橄欖球及曲棍球場、板球場、還有一些區域是專供給高爾夫球，運動員和弓箭手的練習場地。學校藏書豐富的圖書館全天候開放，圖書館位在 Alexandra Square 的校園中央，圖書館藏書超過百萬冊，為學生們提供資訊諮詢服務。學校還設有現代化的電腦房，學生可以24小時使用電腦。
