▍ 學校簡介 About Us
哥倫比亞大學 Columbia University（哥大）在課程設置上也銳意進取，特別是設立了國際化(globalisation)、全品質(total quality)、道德(ethics)和人力資源管理四大主題，所以有“21世紀課程”的美譽。哥倫比亞大學教育研究生院是世界上最大的教育學、應用心理學和心理健康學方面的綜合研究生院。它擁有眾多的研究中心，是美國上述學科最好的研究生院之一。

哥倫比亞學院是美國最早進行通才教育的本科生院，至今仍保持著美國大學中最嚴格的核心課程。公認在常春藤盟校中最難的兩門基礎課：“當代文化”和“人文文學”，就是核心課程的基礎。 哥大對語言能力的強調，使得這裡70%的畢業生能流利地講幾門外語。每天早晨，都要有一個學生在同學面前演講以鍛煉當眾講話的能力，這已經形成了哥大的傳統。

哥倫比亞大學 Columbia University（哥大）最初的建校目標是：“在已知的語言、人文和科學領域內教導和教育青年。”為此，學校的教師及課程設置都必須圍繞以下3個問題來展開：一、讓學生學習什麼？二、用什麼方法教育學生？三、畢業時，學生除了學位和所學的知識外還具備何種世界觀？哥大最強調的一點是實踐，注重學校與社會結合，鼓勵教師走出課堂和學校，學以致用。 

哥倫比亞大學 Columbia University還經常舉辦研究生論壇，主席、評委都由學生自己充當，但會議程式和規格則完全和正式的研討會保持一致。
